Transition

Making A Change From Brand Name To Mineral Girlz

I was a faithful user of the big brand name mineral line for a couple of years before finding MG. When I ordered my first set of MG products I realized that I was going to need to make a few adjustments. Change is to be expected when learning to use a new product line. For anyone else making this transition, I thought you might be interested in the tips I’ve learned along the way. Please feel free to add your tips and experiences in brand change-over as well! After a brief transition, I found I prefer MG over the big (expensive!) name brand, not only for price-point (that was a no-brainer), but actually for the way it made my skin feel too.

The colors tend to run lighter with MG than the others by design, because we are marketing primarily to teens and tweens. However I am 22 and get great coverage with MG. While our pigments are not as intense, it still blends well with skin.

Our eye shadows tend to go on very light in color unless you “foil” them (apply them wet) - there are instructions for foiling in the Guidez section of the website or back office, as well as you can email me and I can email you the guides . I actually prefer them lighter, so I don’t foil, but I wanted to point out the other method for those looking for more color.

We do not currently carry a bronzer (skin enhancer), so if you are used to using “warmth” like I was, you may want to play around with our blush and eye shadow shades to find a good substitute. For me, I found that our “Charisma” blush works wonderfully in place of warmth for a very natural and healthy look.

You are possibly used to applying “bisque” as an under eye treatment and blemish cover. If so, you will use the same concept here, but simply use the foundation itself directly as a cover on problem areas. I do this with a detail brush first, kabuki it in, then apply the foundation to my whole face as normal. If you want to play with it a bit, you might use a slightly lighter or darker shade for the cover-up than you use for full face.

With other brands, I applied my whole makeup including bronzer and blush and even eye shadow, then ended with “mineral veil” for a soft “candlelit” look. With MG I usually do cover up, foundation, then directly to Powder Me Again to “set” the foundation before I apply blush, shadow, etc. Because the colors were more intense, I had to save veil for last to get that soft look I wanted. With our more subtle colors, they are beautiful without saving the veiling step to tone them down.

The big benefit we have over the other name brands is that our makeup contains no bismuth oxycloride! While the other brand was the gentlest thing I had ever used on my face before finding MG, I was surprised at how irritating the other product felt on my skin in contrast with what I have become spoiled by with MG.

Hope this helps get you off to a great start as soon as your makeup arrives!

Mineral Girlz

I never enjoyed wearing make-up that made my face feel heavy. One day I was looking around at Mineral Make-up in the stores and realized it was more then what I can afford being a stay at home mom. I thought their has to be a place that I can get it for a relatively reasonable price. When I got home I decided to look it up on the internet. While comparing prices I stumbled across Mineral Girlz. Once reading over their entire web page I decided to try it. I ordered a couple of samples, received them on my doorstep, in a reasonable amount of time. I tried it the next day, and loved it. I haven`t used any other kind of make-up since.

The things I love about this line of beauty products is that it helped reduce the break-outs that I had experienced, as of now I hardly ever break-out. I found this make-up to do wonderful coverage, as well as it is easy to apply. It gave me a cleaner look, it was light (I hardly felt like I was wearing make-up). As I continued to experiment with this make-up I found out that I could use the make-up for dual purposes. I know use my eye shadows for lip gloss, eye liner, and nail polish! How convenient is that? I no longer have to go store to store to find a gloss, liner, or nail polish that matches my make-up.

The prices from the company are absolutely affordable! As well as they have even more then just make-up!

The great thing about ordering from this company was the fast and convenient shipping. As well as after I ordered the product I was given all the shipping information that I needed to know to be able to track my package. As well as I am able to view all of my previous purchases from the company, so I do not double order something that I might not need to replace yet, or something I have already tried.

I highly recommend this product and company to anyone
